The Laundry List – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The Laundry List. By using our website, booking our services, or interacting with our business, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions (T&Cs). Please read them carefully.

1. Services

  • The Laundry List provides laundry, washing, drying, folding, and ironing services, with pick-up and delivery options.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer at our discretion.

2. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must ensure all items are clearly identified, safe to clean, and suitable for machine washing and drying.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to check care labels on all garments. We follow standard industry processes but do not guarantee against issues caused by manufacturer defects, incorrect labels, or pre-existing wear.

  • Items must be inspected by the customer upon return. Any concerns must be raised within 24 hours of delivery.

3. Care & Liability

  • We exercise due care and skill as required by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), but we are not liable for:

    • Pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or weakened fabrics.

    • Loss or damage resulting from loose items left in pockets (e.g., pens, coins, tissues).

    • Shrinkage, colour fading, or running of colours due to manufacturer defects or care label instructions.

  • If a service failure is proven, our liability is limited to the lesser of:

    1. The current value of the affected item (considering its age and condition); or

    2. The cost of the service provided.

4. Payments & Pricing

  • Prices are as listed on our website and are subject to change without notice.

  • Full payment is required as per the terms provided at booking.

  • Subscriptions will be billed according to the agreed schedule unless paused or cancelled (see Clause 7).

5. Pick-up & Delivery

  • We offer scheduled pick-up and delivery services.

  • The Laundry List is not responsible for items left unattended for collection or delivery unless otherwise agreed.

  • We will not deliver or collect outside of agreed times unless notified in advance.

6. Refunds & Credits

  • Under the ACL, customers are entitled to remedies where services are not provided with due care and skill.

  • Refunds or credits will only be provided where The Laundry List is at fault.

7. Subscriptions & Cancellations

  • Customers may pause or cancel subscriptions by providing at least 48 hours' notice prior to the next scheduled collection.

  • No refunds will be given for missed or unused subscription weeks without prior notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Laundry List’s total liability for any claim (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) is limited to the amount paid for the service in question.

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including sentimental value of items.

9. Privacy

  • We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • By using our service, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

  • These T&Cs are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

  • Any disputes will be handled through NSW Fair Trading or the appropriate jurisdiction.

11. Amendments

  • We reserve the right to update or modify these T&Cs at any time. The latest version will be posted on our website.
